SILT treatment system
THE SYSTEM
This is a type of system developed specifically to treat and recover silty residues deposited on the bottom of nitrification/oxidation, denitrification, accumulation, primary and secondary sedimentation and tertiary treatment tanks in wastewater, civil and/or industrial water treatment plants. It differs from traditional cleaning methods thanks to the application of an innovative form of technology developed by Ecocentro Tecnologie Ambientali, which allows for the reduction of the amount of substance destined for disposal (inorganic materials) by more than 70-80%, by separating it from organic substances, which can be recirculated at the start of the purification plant.
The stages of the tank cleaning service are as follows:

SET-UP AND ASSEMBLY
The machines and equipment that make up the system are installed in the site area.
On-site installation is carried out by our specialist technicians: the only aspects the management company has to handle is to provide the water and electricity supply.

TANK EMPTYING AND SYSTEM FEEDING
Appropriate vehicles with special equipment to remove materials and clean tanks, which we supply, feed the system and remove waste from the treatment process.

WASHING AND PARTICLE SIZE SEPARATION SECTION
The system consists of a loading hopper specially designed for silty/muddy materials into which the material to be sent for treatment is fed.
This feeds a specially sized friction tank which uses high-pressure water jets to first break down the material, releasing and separating the organic materials from the inorganic materials.
The resulting mixture of water and material is then fed into a truncated pyramid-shaped tank where agitators create friction between the particles, thus providing further disintegration of the two substances.
From here a centrifugal pump of appropriate size sucks up the mixture and sends it on to a cyclone, patented by our company, which allows the separation of the sludge containing the organic material from the inorganic material.
The sludge is then sent to the start of the operator’s purification system, while the inorganic material is sent to a vibro-dryer for the dewatering phase, and the conveyor belt then loads the dewatered waste into special containers positioned for subsequent dispatch to treatment and recovery plants.

SENDING WASTE TO THE TREATMENT PLANT
The waste collected in the containers is delivered by authorised transporters to plants authorised to treat and recover such waste.

DISMANTLING AND SITE CLEANING
Once treatment operations are complete, our specialised staff will dismantle and remove all equipment of the plant and clean the site.
